Description Nice weather for the beginning, a northeasterly wind at 15 knots. Pretty good weather with an eastern prevailing wind during the whole race, with local strengthenings from 20 to 25 knots. Perfect conditions for this type of race. The skippers have gone from the bay of the Sables to sail around the island of Ré, then they go through inside the Pertuis Breton and they leave at the Pertuis d’Antioche, towards Brittany. Then they will wind around the Birvideaux lighthouse, face to Quiberon. The competitors will sail down to turn around a buoy in front of the Sables d'Olonne, and will sail again towards the buoy of the Pertuis d’Antioche to arrive at the Sables d'Olonne via the Pertuis Breton |
