Description "Leave Cadix, with the island of Gran Canaria to starboard, and arrive in San Salvador, this is the circuit of our first record on board Banque Populaire V. The conditions to sail out of the spanish coasts, then towards the Canaries, and with the trade winds are parameters we can anticipate. On the contrary, the last 900 miles are very delicate to negotiate, since the wind gets weaker while crossing the West Indies. Therefore we have to bank on a very good first part in the race, knowing that the end will be more unpredictable. The ideal way would be to leave with good portuguese trade winds, to go under a powerful Azores' anticyclone." The men from the Maxi Banque Populaire V will have to find the ideal way before the end of February. |
