Description Marseilles is still the memory of an exceptional race. A perfect weather has allowed to launch a maximum of rounds, and every division could compete in very varied conditions, from gentle winds to breeze, with two sporty days run in 20/25 north-west knots. The beauty of the area has provoked strong reactions, in particular during the big coastal race with the eleven TP52 along the deep rocky inlets of Marseilles and Cassis. Talking about sport, the deal has slightly changed compared with Alicante. In Spain, seven different teams had shared the nine victories in the rounds. In Marseilles, Emirates Team New Zealand has outclassed its opponents. Indedd, Dean Barker and his group has won four regattas, leaving the "leftovers" to Quantum, Synergy, Matador, Bigamist and Bribón. In addition to their first ranks, the Kiwis has always succedded in ending among the leaders, save for two times. |
