Description They have dreamed about it, they have done it by crossing the arrival line of Cape Lizard at 4h 13mn 30s pm French hour (2h 13mn 30s UTC) ! Less than a year after the Maxi Banque Populaire V was launched, Pascal Bidégorry and his men have just gone down in history by signing a new reference time on the crossing of the north Atlantic in a masterly way. Spinning all the speedometers, the biggest oceanic trimaran in the world has just sailed the 2,921 miles of the circuit between New York and Cape Lizard in 3 days 15 hours 25 minutes and 48 seconds, at the average speed of 32.94 knots. |
