Description This is a world premiere : at 7 o'clock 11 min and 15 seconds pm, on this Monday 24 August, Benoit LEQUIN and Pierre-Yves MOREAU have left New York on board their sports catamaran OCTO Finances to open an incredible record, crossing north Atlantic on a non habitable catamaran. Benoît LEQUIN and Pierre-Yves MOREAU (nicknamed PYM) will attempt the impossible and register a totally new record in the offshore race world. Supported by their families, by all the Lorient country, by all the Bretons in the world, by the big family of sailing and all their partners who follow them in this challenge, they are going to make it true. After they were forced to wait because of the presence of the tropical hurricanes Ana and Bill on their way, a nice weather forecast is expected and since yesterday, the TOP for the departure was confirmed by Christian DUMART. |
