A new "Eilean"

Description The lines are slender, the proportions are harmonious. Every piece of copper has been polished, the white hull is as smooth as glass, and the woodworks have been varnished again and again... All the details have been carefully done for this official launching, even the dragon head finely chiselled that is placed at the front of the boat - the mark of the shipyards Fife. On 22 October 2009, on this quay of La Spezia, not far away from the italian shipyard that entirely renovated it, Eilean showed its splendor back. And its new owner, Angelo Bonati, the president of the watchmaking house Officine Panerai, was smiling under his big salt-and-pepper moustache. "This is the proof that a ship can keep its soul, even if it has to be entirely renovated." |
