Description It's beautiful, and respectful of the sea, nature... the man is enthusiast and fascinating, and with an inquiring mind. His works are now renowned in the world. Scrap metal, wood, garbage from the sea are part of Edouard's works. Beauty, raw, and sweetness, a beautiful harmony of colours. He left La Rochelle by boat, and casted anchor in the Saintes a long time ago. A real sailor, and architect by training, he first goes into catering business. But soon Edouard looks at the shores, and takes his small boat to collect pieces of boats. He collects them in the small islets that are part of the archipelago the Saintes, or during his dives. He also discovers old maritime remains such as "La Lironde", a 1823 boat. He doesn't take only the "remains", but he also collects the metal structures. Since then, having gathered many materials, he assembles, judges and finds the ideal balance. |
