Description
The new caledonian lagoon is the second largest continuous coral reef in the world, just after the Australian one. The total zone stretches over more than 23,000 square kilometers, but the one recognized by the UNESCO is divided into six areas, with a total of 15,000 square kilometers. It is the 33rd French area to appear on the heritage list of the UNESCO.
